The common goal of the four NSVQS supporting groups is to encourage a wider appreciation of the art of quilting, to give back to our community, and to challenge members to step out of their comfort zones or learn a new method. The money raised during the show, which is split between the groups, is used to host guest teachers and to purchase supplies which is used to make quilts and other items
for charities in the area.
If you are interested in becoming a quilter, check out our Supporting Groups to find a group that sounds like it would be a good fit for you. We welcome visitors!
Take a look at our Giving Back page for more information about where we donate and opportunities for you to volunteer to benefit veterans via Quilts of Valor, as well as at the Virginia Quilt Museum.
If you are a history buff, read about how our quilt show started back in 1981!
