2019 Quilt Show Challenge THEME
“All Creatures Great and Small”
Elephants and whales, bears and moose, dogs and cats, birds and bees, lady bugs and butterflies…
in 2019 we celebrate ALL Creatures Great and Small. What fun!
From a Safari in Africa, to a walk with our dog, to the hummingbirds at our bird feeders, I’m sure we will see them all!
Artisan Boutique and Community Service Table
These were NEW in 2017 and both were a huge success! We hope you’ll come and learn and shop again in 2019!
In the Artisan Boutique, visitors will find unique, one of a kind hand-made items. Folks can shop for gifts for that someone special, the grandkids, and even for themselves. We will have something for everyone! Artisan Boutique items are generously donated by members of our three three sponsoring quilt clubs.
At the Community Service Table we share information about Care and Comfort Quilts made by our groups for various local social service organizations.
Ours is not a judged or juried show.
Historically, viewers have made their choices known on Friday and Saturday and Viewer’s Choice Awards are posted on Sunday.
NEW in 2019, viewers will be asked to select their FIVE favorite quilts in the show in addition to selecting their favorite Show Challenge quilt and ONE favorite quilt from each of the four Club Challenge quilts.
Registration is now closed.
Thank you all who submitted their quilts for our show. We can’t wait to see them!
Entrants, don’t forget to mark your calendars: Quilt Drop-off is Thursday, April 11 from 9:30-11:30 at the Clark County Parks and Rec Center.

Also NEW in 2019 – Some quilts will be available for purchase.
How will this work?
Visitors can leave their contact information and which quilt they are interested in with those working the show. This information will then be given to the quilt’s maker and the quilt maker will personally reach out to those interested after the show.
The price of quilts varies greatly based on the skill of the quilter and the complexity of the workmanship. The quilt’s size and if it is a simple or more challenging pattern also needs to be considered. Is the quilter a hobbyist, or is it a work of original art by an accomplished quilt artist?
Here you’ll find an example of costs associated with the making of a simple lap throw.
In our upcoming 2019 NSV Quilt Show, we remember and honor quilt maker Mary Lynn Smith. Mary Lynn was one of our show’s founders, and after that first show in April 1981 she continued to work to keep the tradition of our show alive. It is with a heart of gratutude that we made her this year’s Featured Quilter.
Mary Lynn was a great lady, a wonderful mother, a skilled quilter, wonderful teacher, and a true friend to our local quilting community. She is dearly missed by all who knew her!
A selection of her exquisite handiwork will be on display, with thanks to her family who have generously shared them for this occasion.
